Hello ladies and gentleman.
Over the next couple weeks I will be moving my Blog. I started out with this first blogging website, came over here and gave it the ole college try, and now I am going back to my old blog.
SO with that being said you can find me here : http://glamwithoutgluten.blogspot.com/
I have also purchased my OWN domain name, it is MINE for the taking. Glam Without Gluten is going no where folks. I am here to stay.
So if you all shall follow me over to my new blog, there are A LOT of new features, adventures, giveaways, surprises, and so much more awesome Glamness to come over the next couple months.
I have recently became a stay at home Mommy. My Hubby and I had actually planned on me becoming a stay at home Mommy again this October, BUT things changed overnight, and it just happened a couple months sooner. I BELONG at home. My kids are what matter most. Rushing around, rushing my life and my kids, trying to please how many people and at the end of the day go “And for what am I doing all this for?” This is now how my kids deserve their lives, they deserve better.
This morning when I woke up, I took pure joy getting up early to get my Husbands shower started, to do my girls hair, to have my son ask me as he does EVERY morning “Can I come witchu Mommy”, and this morning I was able to tell him yes. It was the most rewarding feeling. I just sat and held onto him on the floor crying with the biggest smile on my face.
I walked my kiddos to school with my Mom, I also had my nephew and son in the double jogger. The entire way to school I was grinning ear to ear the entire time. I loved walking both my girls to class, kissing them goodbye, and telling them I would see them right after school. There was no rushing, no quick this quick that, come on come on come on, it was easy breezy. This is how our life is going to be now. I am fully aware being a stay at home Mom takes work, I have been down this road before. I know this is no cake walk, we will have good and bad days, but what matters most is that I am at home with my kids. I am watching them grow up.
Of course I could go on and on about being a Stay At Home Mom, but no one wants to hear all that mushy stuff anyway. I am where I felt I belonged after I had my son in 2009 . This is the best thing for our family. A HUGE Thank You to my Hubby who has been super supportive with everything and being the most amazing best friend.
Work as a Mother never ends, but between nap time, cleaning, errands, field trips, library story time, play dates, and all of the other Glam things that will be going on, I will be putting more effort now into my blog and my cause. One door closed for me yesterday and another one flew open in less than 24 hours. I am sure that many more will as well, this is just the start. I am a advocate for my own Celiac health and will become more of an activist for other Celiacs and Gluten Intolerant peeps. I have a fire that was started under me back in March, it was only smoldering, but now it is about to be a fully involved gluten burning fire. I have so many opportunities that I can proceed with now. It feels amazing. I feel like a weight has been lifted. I am able to be myself and be able to do what I do best each and every day, with out anyone else degrading me or making me feel any less.
Others can doubt me, call me whatever they feel, or laugh. Let them!
At the end of the day I know what my purpose is . I am meant for something greater. I have never been that type of girl to settle for less, and I was starting too. How I got to that point, I know why, but that problem long gone now.
What I do means something. It may not make sense to a lot of people, but in this Gluten Free world, those of you who read this KNOW that you make a difference. Weather it is by one word, one picture, one post, one event, YOU make a difference. *Shout out to Ken Scheer for his GF Foodie Tour – super jealous I could not be there to meet all of you peeps and hear Ken speak (You can find Ken on Twitter @KenScheer)
Those that do nothing, talk about people, they only talk because they envy others in some way shape or form – others have a quality they wish they could have and do not. People will always talk, might as well give them something GOOD to talk about right???
Passion, drive, ambition, motivation, eagerness, and COURAGE are what my mission is all about.
I DIDN’T pick this Celiac, this Celiac picked me….
(Side note too, I have been in the process of making Unisex “I didn’t pick this Celiac, this Celiac picked me” t-shirts AND for the ladies (sorry dudes) I am making “Glam Without Gluten” t-shirts , because us ladies without gluten are STILL glam in our own ways I will post on my other blog the updates on the t-shirts. :)
