About

Hello and welcome my name is Chrissy!

After almost 3 years in blogger retirement (Is there even such a thing?), I have decided to come back to blogging. Glam Without Gluten is back. There’s more to me than being gluten-free.

I give my readers the value of transparency, organic material, genuine writing, humor, empathy, concern and compassion. I don’t try to be someone who I am not. Love me for who I am.

My blog is intended for Mothers, SAHMs, Firefighter Wives, those that have Celiac Disease, Gastroparesis, EOE and a crap gallbladder like myself.  Also for someone who doesn’t mind foul language from time to time & a side of laughter.

My ideal writer is funny, spunky, classy but a little smart assy, positive – but not barfing rainbows & happiness all the time, motivational and someone I can relate to on many levels.

I write about Mom life, wife life, life in general, living with invisible diseases, I write reviews ranging from local gluten-free finds to gluten-free theme park finds (mostly Universal Orlando), to reviews from my middle child ‘mini glam’ who also has Celiac disease & gives her honest opinion with new gluten-free finds.

I feel that I’ve earned my blog street credibility because I am a Mother to three (ages 13, 9 and 6 ), I’m a wife of almost 11 years, a celiac of almost 7 years and I am honest. If you aren’t honest with your readers they will and DO catch on to your BS. I feel like I can relate to others on a 1:1 level in all aspects of life. I am no newby to blogging, I started in 2012, took a break, and now I’m back for good (seriously I am). I am a small fry in the blogosphere (is that even a word?) but bigger isn’t always better!

Now a little bit about me. I’m a 30 something Wife and Mom to 3, who refuses to age. (Yup you better believe I get Botox) I have multiple chronic illnesses, but I don’t let it stop me. Let go & live. I’m somewhat of an introvert, but when I am in good company I love to talk! When life gets tough I go into my hermit shell so I can process it all and when I come out I am stronger than before. I LOVE to shop for bargains, be it clothes or food.  Photography is my therapy & passion. I plan on starting my own photography business in the near future for firefighters and their families. Baking is also another form of therapy. Because, donuts. I am constantly changing my hair color & style, I love being different. Lattes are my new weakness. Some weeks I workout, some weeks or hell even months I don’t workout. And I snack at bedtime when the kids are in bed and my Husband is working at the fire station.

I’m happy to have you hear and I can’t wait to get to know you!

Chrissy
